Anyone going to watch Hell's kitchen this time round the chap who made Ramsey cry.......Marco something.......should be interesting I think...........

How did he make Gordon cry?

What a rude nasty piece of work! I'm sorry but I don't know how anyone who manages like this thinks it makes the best out of people

I would have told him to shove his food - he was so rude!!

Come on....................it's tv !. Who's going to watch if it's all nicey nicey ?. That's what Ready Steady Cook is for !.
MPW trained Ramsey and was probably the first 'celeb' chef. He won 3 Michelin Stars in his early 30's - the youngest chef to achieve this.
Probably the best chef to have appeared on telly....not quite sure why he's doing this programme though - maybe to have a dig/laugh at some of the other chefs we see clogging up our tv's !.
As far as I know he started from nothing - lost his mother when he was young and just worked very hard to get where he is.
Is he rude ?. Maybe a bit - but when he praises staff you know he means it and you know you've done well. As for the customer complaining that his asparagus was cold....as he was told, it was meant to be !. I think we will have to assume that lots of things we see on Hell's Kitchen are set up for the camera !.

Don't mention RSC

Mike is devastated they have changed the format :D :D He can't watch is now

Thank goodness as really do not like Ansley he gets right on my nerves

He wasn't rude a bit he was downright disgusting! I would never speak to anyone the way that he did. OK some may argue that they were having their meals for free, but the least that you'd expect is for the food to be defrosted!!
I[m sorry I've met people like him and I just feel it's an awful way to treat people.

Bad manners are inexcusable.

So a case of the customer always being right ?!. Maybe the chap in question should have realised that his starter was supposed to be cold before he complained !.
This is tv we are talking about - the plug would be pulled on the show pretty quickly if it was all 'please and thank-yous'.
We will only be shown what they want us to see and as MPW has a reputation for his temper then that's what they will concentrate on.

That wasn't the only person that he slagged off, although I must say well done to the woman who gave it back to him as quick as he gave it. Showed that he wasn't a real man because he couldn't take it :d :d Oh well what am I doing on here, off to go and watch it now :d :d :d

Totaly agree I did not think he was rude...I think he will actually teach them more than they realise. He seemed quite thoughtful to them. Maybe I am odd.
And after all it is TV......
>We will only be shown what they want us to see
That's why I make good use of the 'Off' switch. :) I won't have someone talk like that in my living room, either in the flesh or from the box in the corner. :)

Enjoyed it again and like him even more. Praise from him must mean so much to anybody working under him. Didn't even hear him utter a naughty word !.
As for Jim Davidson....................if this was BB he'd be out. Again, the shows producers showing us what they want us to see - the next thing will be outcry about his homophobic attitude.

I watched him, and couldn't stand him. It may just be TV, but there's no excuse for bad manners.
I don't know who on earth he thinks he is, but all I saw was an arrogant pig, and a filthy looking one at that. I wouldn't eat his food even if I could afford it ;-)
Just to add - I read today that he's put chefs in a bin, and hung them up from their aprons - no wonder Gordon cried. What a wonderful way to teach people.

Personally I didn't think he was rude to anybody last night (the bits we were shown anyway). All he asked was that the team showed him respect and to do what he said.
As for Gordon Ramsey crying.................as far as I know it was GR's last night in his job working for MPW before heading out on his own and I'm sure all sorts emotions were running high.

Respect has to be earned, not demanded. If respect is merited it'll be given automatically. Bullies don't deserve respect.

I think that anybody who is proven to be the very best at what they do can be respected for that. Liking them is another matter. So many chefs have trained under him - they know he is the best and obviously respect him for it.
In his case, if he told me to do something I'd have to respect him and his judgment. I don't think he is a bully, he's very passionate at what he does and wants to always succede.
He didn't have the best start in life and has achieved so much, in fact the top of his profession. I respect anybody who can do that famous or otherwise.
Still can't see what he did last night that was so awful though !.
Val
ps - has anybody been to a 'celeb chef' restaurant or celeb 'gastro-pub'.....I haven't but would like to one day......but not John Burton-Race......that is one man who's arrogance I hate !.

Yep - me too :) Particularly use of the F word - I just can't stand that, especially if it seems that it is the only word that the person knows :( :( I just hate these ignorant people who think that, just because they are famous, they can be like that. There are many, many people ( famous or not) who find it just as easy to be very pleasant - I know which
I prefer :) :) :)

The only use of that particular word last night was not from MPW, in fact, during his 'team talk' he said that people would probably want to say the 'F' word......and thats just how he said it, not in full.
Pity, I'm going away for a few days so I won't be able to watch anymore of this show - or the one on BBC2, The Restaurant which I enjoyed last week
