For those who caravan. What is the norm on taking dogs with you. I realise that sites often are dog friendly but what is the maximum they allow in general.

Best to check with the site before you go.  We've had all 5 with us and providing they behave themselves  not a problem.

I've got a static caravan in the Borders but they allow tourers and they allow dogs.  I've seen vans with four or five dogs but they must be on leads and you're not allowed to leave them in the vans alone if they bark.  But apart from that there's no limits.  One of the ladies in the statics has a whole pack of different dogs and as long as they're well behaved its allowed.  Best check with the sites you're going to though, they might have different rules.

Thanks for the replies. As we have 5 dogs I thought that they might consider it a no no. At least I now know there are sites that will let them come. Thanks

All of the Caravan Club sites take dogs, I have seen one lady with six CKC spaniels with her (and lovely they were too).  She had a collapsible pen outside for them and they were all on leads when not in it.

I have had friends who have stayed on commercial caravan sites & have had 17 Chihauhas with them but I always check with sites beforehand myself.
