Oh I am so excited!
I have just won a whooping £100 on my local radio station!!! :D :D :D
I never win ANYTHING!

How much have you ever won?
- By zarah Date 28.08.07 22:17 UTC
£10

My sister on the other hand is coming across money all the time! She's been quite lucky on the lottery the few times she's played, and several times in shops she's been given far more money in change than she gave them in the first place! She's also taken items back for a refund before and been given more than the original cost. Not sure what I would do if those scenarios happened to me - probably look completely guilty

My friend, affectionately known as "eagle eyes" :P, picks up all the coins he finds on the roads and pavements when out dog walking or on his bike as he cycles all over the place - he usually finds at least £5 a day! He often finds pound coins just laying there or screwed up £5 notes. I find myself scanning the pavements now but have never found anything

Well done btw :D

My friend says thats the good thing about being in a wheelchair, quite often she finds money on roadsides etc!

Must admit I'm not very lucky on winning anything, don't even win arguments most of the time :d
- By DEARLADY [gb] Date 28.08.07 23:44 UTC
I once won £250 in my work raffle - but that was about 10 years ago

and I really ought to buy a lottery ticket, cos how can I ever expect to win eh??!!
- By Lissie-Lou [gb] Date 28.08.07 23:56 UTC
Well done!  I've won £50 twice from my premium bonds, and £100 twice from a crossword puzzle, one week after t'other!!
- By ShaynLola Date 29.08.07 06:51 UTC
Not cash, but I won £600 of vouchers for a holiday company, courtesy of Paul Rankin (the chef), but they had to be used for a holiday in Ireland   We used it to spend 3 very luxurious nights in the 5* Ashford Castle.  Heaven!
- By Jeangenie [gb] Date 29.08.07 07:00 UTC
Yay! Well done! What did you have to do?

My best is winning £450 on Johnny Walker's Mystery Voice competition on Radio 2 a while back. (Hurrah for Norma Major!) :)
- By Gemini05 Date 29.08.07 07:05 UTC
My local Radio station have selected four songs, if you here either one of them anytime of the day you have to phone up and register! You can win up to £1000 if all four songs are played!!! :D

The most I have won on the National Lotto is about £28! :D
On a scratch card I won £85, but I really need to win the jackpot so I can buy a house I have seen up for sale, it only costs a mear £800,000!!! :D :D :D
- By sam Date 29.08.07 08:37 UTC
i had £500 on the premium bonds once!!!
- By alfredo Date 29.08.07 08:43 UTC
We won £74 on the lottery 3 weeks ago and £200 from ERNIE a couple of months ago. A  distant relative,  won £1.3 million on the lottery a few years ago:eek: They still live in their original house as they love the neighbourhood. They gave a bit of the money to their children to clear their mortgages. Apart from a few holidays the money has not changed their lives as they were quite happy before they won it.
- By craigles [gb] Date 29.08.07 09:09 UTC
Oh Alfredo I'm confident in saying if I won 1.3 million my life would change! drastically.  ~~~~~~~~~~ daydreaming away~~~~~~~~

I won 64.00 on lottery once, that's my lot apart from a few tenners.   I'm really not a lucky person! Alex my third child is a lucky person always winning a bit of money here, there and everywhere.  Knowing him he'll get the big one, one day!
- By alfredo Date 29.08.07 09:38 UTC
So would mine!! They were so laid back about it all, maybe because they were in their 60's. When they went to Camelot to confirm their winning ticket they were more concerned with getting back home for their dinner than making arrangements to pick up the cheque:eek:
- By Soli Date 29.08.07 09:14 UTC
The most I've ever won is £120 - as prize money at a dog show no less!   Actually I can't really claim it as me winning it - it was my dog who won it - but she kindly donated it to me :d

I won £250 on the Thunderball last year :D.  Really lucky as it was a spur of the moment thing just before we went on holiday and it was only the 2nd ever time of doing the Thunderball.

Where OH works, you could buy Christmas raffle tickets from August (coming straight from your wages).  Hubby did this for 2 months (£10 in total) and the first prize was £3000!  The raffle was drawn the very next day after OH got wrongly medically discharged  and he WON!!!!! :p :p  It couldn't have come at a better time for us with Christmas round the corner and we had no money coming in for 6 weeks (and we were not entitled to any benefits etc)!   Certainly took the sting out of his discharge! ;) :D :D :D
- By Maudlily [gb] Date 29.08.07 11:34 UTC
I won (well, 4 of us in a syndicate) on National Lottery £2500 so split between 4!  And that was us getting 5 numbers  Shouldn't be greedy  better than a poke in the eye!
- By MariaC [gb] Date 29.08.07 15:24 UTC
wow you have all done so well and are really lucky :)

My winnings are:
£25 premium bonds when I was about 10 (so probably a lot of money then)
£10 on the lottery a couple of years ago
1 weekend away to Silverstone races
- By calmstorm Date 29.08.07 16:02 UTC
I won prize money when I was riding the nags :D..........but apart from that, all I'v won of note was a huge basket overflowing with fruit and veg at a hunt raffle night.
- By MariaC [gb] Date 29.08.07 16:10 UTC
were you a jockey ?
- By calmstorm Date 29.08.07 18:07 UTC

I won a Christmas hamper once in Asda   when the phoned to tell me I thought it was my sister winding me up  :D  they had to phone back twice LOL

I once won £1,000 worth of vouchers for sending my DIY Disaster story into magazine.  Embarrasing, but worth it ;)
- By Tracey123 [gb] Date 30.08.07 13:04 UTC
Ooh what did you do??

I won a hamper at the local raffle, a make over with the local newspaper, a karaoke video from a magazine and tickets to a 60's concert in our area. :D
- By FlyingGribble [gb] Date 31.08.07 20:58 UTC
I accidentally plumbed my new washing machine into the central heating, and until I'd drained the system was washing my clothes in the water from the radiators.  I just thought they came out not quite as white as I'd hoped since it was a cheap washing machine!

It wasn't so bad since my best man had just told the story at my wedding, so it was semi-public anyway ;)

Ironically, the first thing I had to use the vouchers for was to buy a new washing machine!

20p on the village whippet racing, though strictly speaking it was only 10p as my stake was 10p so I got my 10p back plus 10p for my superb skill at predicting the winner out 6 dogs
- By MW184 [gb] Date 04.09.07 12:54 UTC
