Are pugs and french bulldogs please? A friend reckons they are going for £1300-£1500 each breed? :o

Sister paid just under £1000 for Betsey (Pug) last year but I've seen anything between £900 - £1400 quoted for Pug puppies.   Usually the 'worst' breeders are charging the most!

I'd say that was the going rate, i know 4 breeders in danes that breed frenchies/pugs and as far as i'm aware they charge that much but i've never known them to advertise..

Babies are free tho' :D :D :D And are usually all produced by back-yard breeders :D :D :D :D (Unregulated breeding, as many as they like and absolutely no research into the pedigree or genetics ) :D :D

They might be free to make but they come with a lifetime of expenses!  ;)    And no guarantee or refunds!

Totally 'off track' but reminded me.... I was watching 'Mock the week' on BBC2 the other night and it struck me...

well now my kids are 18 & 15 I think i'd would rather have paid a one off payment of £1500 for a pup. Kids are just forever 'mum have you got any money i want to go out or need phone top up' etc etc. Give me my dogs at any cost any day!

Apparently it costs, on average, £180,000 to raise a child these days

Think I'll stick with dogs :D
