hi - my mum and I had planned some weeks ago to go into Chester today , without realising it was a Bank Holiday at the time :rolleyes:

I was just wondering if the shops still open bank holiday - only different hours , or not at all.

Hoping someone might know on here , saving us a wasted trip.

hi yes shops are open!
the only problem you will have is that its Race day today parking will be non existant..so park and ride to save the hassle!

hi yes i think its sunday opening for all the big shops so 10 til 4
i dont think this applies to the smaller high street shops though

ignore my comment about the Races!!! i am so befuddled after my hols!
the racing is on the 31st!
for some reason i thought that was today!!!!!
although as its bank holiday and its nice weather i would still use the park and ride
