I use saddle soap. I wipe down the leather and make sure you get the grease off (you can add a little bit of washing up liquid to get the grease off but dont have your sponge too wet) and then once you've done that rub your saddle soap with the sponge (make sure you really wring the sponge/cloth out) and then I wipe the leather in circles. :)
I've heard that baby wipes are good for leather sofas?? No you dont use it like soap, its meant to be used quite sparingly really. The most important thing is to make sure the cloth is only damp. I dont think Id use saddle soap on my leather suite though because it can leave a residue which might go on your clothes??
I know what you mean Tracey....but if jods or britches had shown even the tiny bit of residue I'd have been shot :D :D :D I do think leather sofas have their own cleaners and shiners which would be better used than tack cleaning stuff.
