hi everyone
my 15 week old puppy ate human poo from my young son pants shortly after he had a accident yesterday and i was wondering if this is harmfull to her.
- By SaraW [gb] Date 19.09.02 19:25 UTC
no idea but just had to read this post because of the heading :D

I had visions of some sort of weirdo human with strange tastes ;).

I wouldnt have thought that there would be a problem but I'd try not to let the dog make a habit of it ;)

Don't worry but do discourage it, not a nice habit. Agree with Sara the braketed bit would be better in the middle, never mind we will all have to take a deep breath before we read it. Ja:)kie

I know how you feel.
One of my bitches would turn over my big black wheelie bin so she could eat the nappies!.{had to use cloth nappies in the end}
I also have one that will eat poo out the potty if I do not find it first.
Its a disgusting habbit and one of mine even mannaged to find some 'human poo' in the woods {dont know why someone contiues to cr*p in the woods}.
None of mine have ever had any ill effects from it just bad breath YUK

Sorry laughing at this post

I used to live in an estate with timber fencing between the houses and one day a storm blew it down and my gsd got next door.

Well the next i heard was my neighbour screaming in horror at something and when I went to investigate lo and behold there was Jake at her bin having a nice snack of disposable nappy ROFLOL

It never did him any harm, but I think my neighbour aged a few years.

Theresa :) Laughing at the memory

Hi,

Have just read your post and thought I would share my little experience with you.

I have a miniature schnauzer (1) and two girls aged four and seven. During the summer when four year olds wear few clothes!! we had a similar event, Sophie came racing into the house shouting that Zak was eating his poo, having had a boxer who before we had her was partial to a bit of 'poo chomping' , I went out to investigate. On asking where the poo was I was told 'on the patio'. Now I know that Zak would not poo on the patio when there is a perfectly goo bed of flowers to hide it in!! I queried the location of the poo.

On further questioning Sophie admitted that she had been taken short and messed on the patio herself, and no sooner than it hit the deck it was gobbled up, she said she didn't even see it before it was gone.

As for any after effects, none other than breath like a sewer for a couple of hours and a hopeful look in his eyes everytime she stood naked on the patio.

Dogs, who'd have em????????????

Sarah and Zak (aka bog breath or worse)
