I have been browsing the internet and have come across the website for our little boys breeder and there is a picture of him on there as a little pup!!:cool:

We actually got him from another breeder that had him as part of breeding terms so we never got to ask his breeders questions about him as a little pup and it wasm so lovely to see him playing with his mum and how he was as a little baby (although i still refer to him as my baby!!)

He comes from a good line of show ckcs, i wonder if thats why he has done so well with his training??

I am more and more besotted with him everyday.... i know a while back i was thinking of getting a different breed for our next dog but i have done a complete u turn and now could not imagine owning anything other than a ckcs!!

I have even sussed the grooming and he is now happy to be groomed without nipping me and without the need to restrain him lol!!

I am still working at the shelter voluteering my spare time but i am focused on getting them loving new homes rather than offering them new homes!!

 Glad you've decided on another cav for his housemate. Have you contacted his breeder to let her know how he is getting on? Just wondering with him coming from a 3rd party. Most breeders love to hear how their babies are doing in their new homes :)

Yes we have emailed his breeders letting them know how he is getting on but they haven't replied as of yet.
I am hoping that they may remember what he was like as a tiny puppy and let me know.

Our top class (for dogs who already have gold good cits) is full of CKCS :) They're lovely and I think a second one would be a great match for your boy. I got a second golden for the same reason; looked at what breed my existing dog would like best. trying to talk OH into ark style of dog ownership - we'll need two Leos next :-D

Our little boy thinks he is a big dog and is currently great friends with the golden in our class!!!:cool:

I ALMOST have that LOL! If we pair one Golden up with the Labrador as an Irish brace, then next comes 2 Goldens , 2 Malinois, 2 crossbreeds, 2 Papillons -and Rufus the Cavalier all on his own.

I haven't got an ark of dog breeds but I do have a (small) ark of animals: 2 dogs, 2 cats and 2 gerbils (oh and 1 fish!)

Red nose for Rufus then ROFL

Rufus the red-nosed cavie, had a very shiny nose, and if you ever saw him, you would even say it glowed - all of the other canines used to laugh and call him names, they never let poor Rufus, join in any chasing games. Then one foggy yorkshire night, santa came to say, Rufus with your nose so bright won't you guide the sled tonight....
