There's been lots said about the neglect of the McCanns in leaving their daughter alone whilst they had their meal.

This poor little girl wasn't left alone, she suffered the most horrendous injuries - at the hands of the one who should have cared the most for her - her mother :(

There was a nursery place for her - but she wasn't taken because the mother wouldn't let her out of her sight - obviously because the injurieds would be apparent.

Poor, poor little girl - she would look out of her window and wave to those passing by - was never allowed out, so no-one knew what a life she was leading.    To die unloved, never having known love - that is just so wicked.

And to think that there are more victims like this out there waiting to be saved from this living hell

RIP little girl, no-one can harm you now.

Totally agree Margot. How could anyone hurt a young child like that but for it to be her Mother just doesn't bear thinking about.
RIP little one, may you find a better life.

There are, sadly, many different types of neglect, harm and abuse put on the poor innocent child by those that should know better. This case is one of many that, in one form or another, will be happening as I type. It is sickening and saddening to think people will live like this, and continue to live like this. many kids that have regular beatings, or any type of abuse, know no better and accept the world of lies and deception they are forced to live in. There are many that only come to terms with what happened in later life.

leaving your tot alone open to any type of harm is also neglect, which would be found out should the child suffer injury or harm whilst being so left. Parents have a responsibility to their child, whatever age, and where ever that may be.

RIP Leticia, I have read about you in the newspaper this morning and sit here looking at my 3 yr old granddaughter happily in her poncho towel eating a lolly!  How could anyone?  I'll never know and that's for sure x

omg that just makes me sick to my stomache- that poor lil one- how awful :(

How can anyone do something like that- even if the boyfriend didn't do anything to her- he still is partial to blame because he knew what the mother was doing was wrong :(

He certainly wasn't innocent, this article says he was suspected of harming a 9 month old baby previously, was known to be violent, and at least one bite mark on the poor child was his. I just can't get my head round this, how two people could be so evil - and how a mother could do this to her own child. And then after weeks of sustained violence and abuse why did her mother phone for paramedics... I don't want to think about it anymore, it's too depressing :(

Words fail me- all I can say is how awful- just feel sick inside of what the lil girl went through- She's such a pretty lil one too- so sad :(
