Seen it before and I think we should warn people it is not for the faint hearted at times :) 

It is an amazing clip, I watched it on the news a couple of days ago then foundit on youtube. I don't think the calf is lucky though, I'd imagine it would die anyway - it must have had very severe wounds froms the tug-o-war between the alligators and the lions. Amazing clip though :)

That what I thought Jane, I'm afraid.  The injury to the lion might be quite severe too.  Oh well, I suppose that is nature, raw in tooth and claw :)

Absolutely, it's impossible to take sides - you could feel sorry for the buffalo, the alligators or the lions - or all 3. I've just been looking at some other clips on youtube that were linked to from the original one. Some amazing footage and amazing struggles for survival. Makes you appreciate just how easy we have it, pick up the phone and order your tea :D
