Interesting that, thanks. :cool: Have to confess to skimming bits of it (mainly about modifying human behaviour, I was more interested in the attitudes etc). :D

I think I saw a piece in the Shooting Times a while ago pouring scorn on this research project but it turns out to be rather interesting.

I wonder if any of the positive ideas will be taken up?

We have walked across moorland whilst on holiday, where there are lots of polite signs saying dogs must be kept on lead (all year, not just three months) which I totally understand and would mostly choose to walk elsewhere in order to be able to let the dogs walk off-lead.  I have never seen a sign which suggested an alternative area for allowing off-lead exercise.
