I was watching Only Fools last night,the Miami episode,for the umpteenth time. There is a tune on it and my husband and I know it,it's on the tip of my tongue,but we can't get the title.I just HAVE to find out the title and I may be able to search for an album with this track on it.It appears when they come out of the nightclub only to find their campervan has been stolen.This song is playing in the nightclub behind them.Does anyone know what the title is? I may have to ask one of these showbiz question forums,as I have been haunted by this tune since I saw the episode the first time.I think this episode was filmed in 1991 so I guess its a 70's or 80's track.Hope someone can put me out of my misery.

I don't know if I've seen it or not but doing a quick 'google' it seems that 'Summer In The City' was one of the tracks used.

Thanks for replying No it wasnt Summer in the City I know that one. I know the tune or at least the chorus part which I am sure is also the title. I have been humming it all morning in the hope that it will spring back to mind but no joy.. Sooo frustrating I dont think it was such a well known song,but I certainly remember it from way back.I will try and google that episode too as I know if I have a list of the music played in it,I will know it immediately.

Hi. It is a slower ballad type song that was playing in the background when they came out of the nightclub and discovered their campervan was missing.I have googled and looked on Amazon as they have a CD with all the songs from Only Fools,but I know every one of them,and this song isnt there. I heard it the first time I ever saw this episode,but even trying to remember the tune escaped me,until I watched it again last night. Now I have the chorus and I am sure its the title too. But can I put a single word there? Noooo. I have e mailed the BBC and asked them if they can tell me what it is.It's just one of those teasing things,but I would really like to know the name of the track.

Wikipedia lists the song that is playing in the nightclub when Rico  introduces himself to Delboy and Rodney as "Killer" by Seal but not sure if it was still playing when they discovered their campervan was missing :)

Well.no further forward with the BBC . they say it was incidental music and was probably taken from the library,so can't help. But someone put it on the sountrack in that episode,so someone must know. I have tried that OFAH forum so I hope someone on there knows the title. If not,I give up as it has been going round and round in my head for days and I am no nearer to remembering the title.

WELL............I JUST CANT STAND IT!....i have been on ebay and emailed 8 people who are selling the film! i have told them of our delema and 2 have offered to get back to me [ probably when they lok at the film again!] so all is not lost yet......Watch this space................[HOPEFULLY FOR NOT TOO LONG!....LOL]

What is the Salt water one?I am sure the title has something about " ta ta ta ta in my eyes." But could be wrong Could it be salt water? Dont forget every song is relevant to the predicament or situation they are in,
I have put the question on the OFAH site but someone had asked what the song was when they went IN to the nightclub and apparantly it was "Killer" by Seal as they were about to meet the mafioso.So far the only other response I have had is "Was it the DVD or Telly version",so I take it they are different.

Just listened to it on You Tube Thanks for the link. I knew I liked that song years ago but the title just eluded me. I can  sleep tonight without the tune going round in my head I did eventually get the "In my eyes" bit,but the saltwater clue just clinched it.Thanks everybody It really is a lovely song.
