What is the stuff you can put on a flopping puppy ear to help it go up?

For a freind with a big breed. I was convinced I had seen it at show stalls but can't think for the life of me what it is called. Neither of us can find it.

Not heard of anything to help it grow up but know people use child safe glues to hold ears down.

Personally I don't see the point.  Most dogs ears will improve after teething etc, helping the ear position if it's incorrect only leads to problems if that dog is used in breeding programs and people are unaware it could ahve had bad ears....

Agree with ice_queen.  I've only known of doing something to keep the ears down.  If they don't correct after teething then it's a major fault in the line unfortunately especially if the ears are the one of the main things in the breed.

It's a pet only they just want the ear up. One is already up and the other probably will to  , just suggested a helping hand..

Found the stuff online.

Scholls moleskin (available at places like Boots in the feet section) can be used to correct some ears but I don't know if it would help ears to stay upright?

Why would anyone use ear glue, surely this is cheating?

My most recent pups ears were slow to go up and were not fully erect until she was 16 weeks which is twice as long as average, but I never ever considered helping them along even though they were just soft at the very tips as I want to know they would go up properly on their own. 

I will be breeding from her and want to be sure that I won't get ears that don't prick as that would be a huge backward step in my breeding program.

Ear carriage is just as inherited as any other trait, her grandfather was rather slow too, a bit slow is OK but not to be encouraged, but not going up at all would be a disaster in a prick eared breed.

I have come across glue or other such things in ears when judging to help them stay tipped over in Shelties. Such dogs are always placed last by me.

My freinds puppy is a pet only.  Not for show or breeding. The pups ear will probably come up but I suggested the stuff.
