Shot boxer pronounced brain dead

A former British heavyweight boxer who was shot when he asked customers at a club to stop smoking has been declared brain dead, his solicitor has said.

How sad, can hardly beleive this is the UK and not USA.  I am an ex south Londoner born there but left 20 years ago because I felt it was too violent to bring children up.  Thing is Bristol has got to that stage now that London was then.

What is this world/country coming to. Why are people becoming so bad nowadays. I feel real despair for the young generation and what is to come. Things just seem to be getting worse day upon day.
