bitch has one week old puppies her teats at the back are yellow on the tips  is there anything i can put on them that won.t upset the pups i dont want them to get septic they are,nt cracked just red looking and a tip of yellow on the end of a couple of them

clean them with cooled boiled water with a little salt in  and cotton wool its like a crust which should come off . Make sure there is no discharge or hardness around the teat if so then a vet visit may be required/.
Dont put anything on them!

in humans - squeezing out some milk and rubbing it in can help a lot. i wonder if it would help with her? (her own milk, not a humans, obviously) ;)
