I went to see it yesterday and loved it. Its all growed up! My son and his friend felt it was too grown up for them - definitely more of an adult film :)
Anyone else?

Going on Thursday. :) Just re-reading the 6th book now, all ready for Saturday when I'm going to do NOTHING but read the new one!! :D :D

Saw it yesterday and really enjoyed it. Roll on Saturday :D

We are going this week, now i have to decide to go to a dog show saturday or stay home and read the book, arghhhhhhh :D :D
Went last thursday (sad I know!!) and loved it, thought it was the best film so far (well after the first one!)Loved the actors they picked and cant wait for it to come out on DVD to see again! (unless I can persuade the OH to go!)

We watched it saturday and loved it, my daughter thought it was great.

Saw it last thursday and to be honest at the end of it I wasn't really impressed. It was just Harry's quest to find voldemort in my opinion and my boyfriend felt the same. Must say I've preferd all the previous ones alot more.
However the book coming out is my saviour! Boyfriend will have his nose so stuck in the book he won't notice his at a dog show :D :D :D

To be honest, I was a bit dubious about this film after reading some of the fim critics reports, that it was lacking and the worst film and was expecting a mish mash of over excessive fight scences and no real storyline.
Well, Wow! I loved it! I really loved it! So did the rest of the family. I wish it had been longer though..................
Who been out to get the book then???? I have & the queue was pretty big. Someone had found out who died before they had even got to the checkout!! Luckily they didn't tell everyone else.

no interest to me, i don't watch the films or read the books but my friend textd me at 00.10 saying yay I got my book! I was dozing on the sofa! The ironic thing with her is that today at 8.30am she is working in the learning centre next to the book shop so could have got it them! how bizarre!

Me and Stephen joined the huge queues at our local Tesco at midnight and came away with our copies last night :D :D

Post has been and gone.
Hoping it will come by the van!!!!!
Lea :)
i came down this morning to find one of those cards saying the postman had tried to deliver a package but i was out!!! No I wasn't---he didn't even ring the bell!
I assume it's the Harry Potter book that my son ordered from Amazon, so now I have to go down to the P.O to pick it up

He's coming home this morning after being at a friends overnight and I know his plans for the day - to get stuck in to the book

Poor postman was weighed down this morning, he knocked the door at 6.30am with our copy, ours came from Amazon too.

Personally I am underwhelmed :D :D :D
Daisy
>so went out at 5 this morning<

Jill!!! :D

Jill - only at chapter 8 !!! How far you got now!
Will try and catch up by email later honey - hope all well with you!
Rach
Finally finished it at 6 o'clock! Enjoyed it ut had worked out most of the plot beforehand.
Jill
PS only got up at 5 as forgot to switch off alarm and Albert always starts crearting when he hears the alarm!!

OMG!! you finished it!!!! blimey! not quite the world record on the woman this morning! but good going jill!

My daughters went out to get theirs last night - took til 1am to get in the shop queue was so long, but they were home by 2am and sat up reading til goodness knows when. I ordered a copy from Amazon in USA as my daughter collects the american versions since we were out there one year when it was released, will need to wait til it comes or the girls finish it before i get my hands on a copy, I refuse to buy 4 copies. We got the last book when we were in Italy on holiday - had to wait for a copy in English coming into a little bookshop - must be mad! :D

I am SOOOOO miffed! Ordered it months ago from a book club, like I did two previous times, was meant to be delivered first thing today. It was mentioned on several paper statements since. Checked my account online yesterday and no mention of my order and needless to say no book today!

Have sent hubby out..........

No queuing involved, other than at the checkout, of course. :)

Daisy

Can't the inhabitants read? ;) :p :D
By Daisy

Most of them probably not, judging by the school league tables :D :D :D
Daisy

The nearest town to us on that list is at Number 32. Whatever that signifies!

I've not long been back from Morrisson's and there were stacks of them for 4.99. Didn't buy one as nobody in our family interested in the book but Hannah does watch the films with Craig.

What a pity all these multi-million pound supermarkets and big book stores stamp on the small independent book shops. No way can they afford to reduce the price by so much. Still it happens with everything....and like independent pet shops, grocer stores etc - we'll miss them when they've gone.
Our town is 7th - was 3rd back in May so I'm told.................have to admit to having no interest in Harry Potter or the hype surrounding it !.

Am not happy.
Just bought one from woolworths as Amazon one didnt arrive :( :(
Sent them a snotty email and will be sending that copy back!!!!!
Lea who now has a happy son!!!

That list is hardly indicative of Pottermania throughout the country, methinks!
It is compiled - by Amazon - from a list of pre-ordered copies ......now is that purely pre-ordered from Amazon? I doubt very much if Waterstones, Ottakers, Borders -let alone Asda Tesco & Morrisons which were taking pre-publication orders would be prepared to share their lists with Amazon ;)

You are right Margot! I am not going to let this list change my life. I am not the town freak by not being interested in HP :)
By Daisy
Date 21.07.07 14:57 UTC
LOL, Margot :D Certainly wouldn't list all those who want to pay the least :D :D :D
I've only seen the first film - one Christmas when I had no choice of viewing on the television :D :D My son and daughter seem pretty keen on it - although they would never bother with queuing :D :D Must be a young person's thing really. I don't go for fantasy etc :)
Daisy
>Must be a young person's thing really
Hardly!

me and two of my male friends (all 3 of us late 20's early 30's) left the pub at midnight and went to sainsburys for our books (no queue either!) - we must have looked quite sad walking through town all of us clutching a copy of Harry Potter
I still havent had time to start mine :(

At 5 pm found my book parcel -IN THE CATTERY! (Okay converted garage.) Nobody knocked, nobody rang the doorbell and I've been in all day! By then we'd already got a copy from ASDA for £5. Only had time to read about 20 pages, too much other stuff to do today like grooming cats and dogs etc. Guess I won't sleep tonight LOL.

i have complained to Amazon. They have just replied saying it should have been here and checking to see if it had arrived due to me complaining before 6pm, but after 3 I knew it would not arrive!!!!!!
So replied and told them I have gone and bought one. So hopefully they will refund the price PLUS delivery !!!!!
Lea :(
