Now call me sad, but I've recently been watching The Professionals on ITV4, reliving my youth and all that! Something is really bugging me and wonder if any other sad people out there can help. Gordon Jackson is George Cowley, Martin Shaw is Ray Doyle and Lewis Collins is Bodie. But what is his first name?

Think it was William Bodie so my husband says :D :D :D

I used to love The Professionals, but can't watch it now - hadn't realised how awful it was - chasing people around aparently for no reason then Cowley will come out with some really profound statement that he couldn't possibly have found out :rolleyes: :D 

I've also recently watched a re-run of Blakes 7, used to love it too but watching the scenery shaking now really annoys me.

About the only thing that I can still watch every few years is Fawlty Towers, it may be dated too now but it's still really funny :D

I know what you mean Chaumsong, but there are some really funny snipits in it and it just brings back memories. A few episodes ago they were buying drinks at a bar; double vodka, orange juice, bottle of lager, all for £1.30 - those were the days!!!

Its funny - programmes that seems so great then just dont seem to hold my attention now. Ithink our tastes have become more sophisticated maybe, lol

I'm the opposite, I'm only just getting into the older comedy series as when I was younger didn't find them funny, my favourite at the minute is on the buses, I just love it, my 13 yr old sees me laughing and says 'what is funny?'  I can't always answer her but I just love it.
