Hi Rachel,
I suppose your bitch was in season 8-10 weeks ago? It's not unusual for bitches experiencing a phantom pregancy to produce milk. Just keep an eye on her undercarriage, in case she starts to develop mastitis. Don't try to express milk, this will only stimulate the production of more milk.

Phantom pregnancy is normal for all bitches that do not become pregnant and many will have milk and no other signs, others will be almost symptom-less but would need only a little stimulation to produce milk, others have very pronounced symptoms with milk and some even nesting or even having labour pains.

In the wild only the alpha female will have pups and the other bitches who will time their seasons with her will have phantom pregnancy and help raise the pups.

It could be a false pregnancy. Some bitches get them after their season, it's to do with hormones and supposed to be a throwback to the time when they lived in packs and the females would all help to feed the puppies produced by the alpha bitch.

Some of them will nest and collect toys in their beds and things too. If it causes a problem there are medications that can help but otherwise false pregnancies go away on their own. But they do get one after every season.

I would think the vomiting is caused by an emty stomach, not the phantom in itself. Try giving her something to eat that she likes, if she won't eat her normal food, just to avoid a totally empty tummy.
It's very common for bitches that are  having a false pregnacy not to eat. One of my girls will not eat her food for about two weeks, but will have little bits of chicken, scrambled eggs or rice pudding. Don't worry, your girl sounds perfectly normal, and you'll learn to recognize the symptoms after each season.

When young my Kizi would go off her food for her season and several weeks after eating maybe three or four days out of seven.  She was very healthy although thinner than I would have liked.
