My husband has told me that I have to come clean and tell you that I have bought the most ugly crocs they sell - they havent actually arrived yet - ordered them yesterday...

They are called all terrain crocs - on account of the other crocs I have the pink ones - all the little stones get in them when I am walking the dog.............

There - done it - my name is Maxine and I've ordered ugly ugly shoes....

Dont actuall know how I managed to get this post here and not at the end:confused:

Ah! Now the All Terrain Croc looks a much more wearable object.  Definately lower in the ridicule stakes :) although aren't they just a Muckers at a fancier price?

I want to try the Georgies. Wellies are really uncomfortable to walk in for me so I have some gortex Eccos but they're not 100% waterproof. I'd love to have dry tootsies in the winter.

Treat yourself to Le Chameau, Lori :)  I walk miles in mine and, with the leather lining, you don't need thick socks.  I don't bother with socks at all in the summer.

Isabel  £200, for wellies!! Can't bring myself to do it. It must be because I come from a desert. :-D

Ok slightly off topic but how do you all do these links??

Maxine
- By Lori Date 04.07.07 22:09 UTC
Maxine the easiest way is to select the word(s) you want to be the link and click on the URL button.  That will put these tags around the word [ url= ]  I've put some spaces in to demonstrate. Then copy the URL and paste in just after the = sign. So a link to champdogs would look like (but without the spaces after the = and : )

or for the cheaper option buy yourself a pair of porelles, they're fabulous, comfortable, your feet are toasty warm and completely dry - I've even taken my shoes off and walked throuhg a puddle in them to test them :)

They're much more Light weight than Muckers Isabel.

I'm sure the clogs are but would the boot with leather uppers be?  They look very similar to me.

yep..there's a definate difference I have had muckers for cleaning out the kennel, and tried on the Crocs version at the weekend, the soles are much more light weight.

(or maybe I just had particularly cluncky Muckers?I have the Harry Hall version)

My daughter fancied the Mary Janes for her holidays, anyone have them instead of the boats? ;-)
- By Lily Mc [gb] Date 04.07.07 15:10 UTC
Blast it, I'm getting tempted too. Have wide feet though, so feel I ought to go and try some on first - but then, I've done this before and realised how ugly they are, and not bothered LOL!

- By arched [gb] Date 04.07.07 15:09 UTC
Well would you believe it.................husband came home from the USA this morning with a pair of Crocs for me !. Hadn't asked for any so it was a complete suprise. Wore them today................not a blister in sight which is a first for me with new shoes !.
They are so comfortable - I'm amazed. Almost like they mould to the shape of your feet, with the warmth I guess.
Mine are Aspen Crocs - so no holes...............wonderful as it's been raining most of the day and my feet stayed completeley dry. Apparently they are for varied weather.......excellent !.
One thing though he paid £15 ....... shows what a rip off things are over here.

Just to let you know, ALDI are selling kids 'Mocks' and gardening clogs next week - for £1.99     Definately getting them for THE BOY who loves his Mocks but wants ones with fewer holes :)

Edited to ask    Does anyone have both the REAL Crocs and the imitation??   Is there a difference in the material they're made from??  do they feel/ perform differently?     In other words ...  are the real ones really worth the price difference?    I can't believe how much they cost over here compared to the US
- By satincollie (Moderator) Date 05.07.07 20:44 UTC
got to remember our dear old government always takes his cut over here though :(
- By LJS Date 05.07.07 21:22 UTC
The reason why they are so expensive is that they were first in the market and now the rest of them have caught up they can now market them for the real market price with a reasonable profit margin as the Crocs company has been making a killing ;)
