My friend has rang me this morning to tell me that she is unable to come to windsor as her male dog is bleeding from his penis, it is fresh blood but quite thick and quite a bit of it she said.  I suggested stones but am unsure as he seems to be in no pain and is his normal happy self.  She is at the vets at 8.30 but i was just wondering if any body has been through this before?

I had a dog with cystitus (SP?) who was bleeding from the penis, he was 'under the weather' with it too. ABs cleared it, although I have no idea why he had it, he was 7 at the time, and it never occured again.

Just gotta ask does she have more then one dog?

This may sound gross but I had that happen to my male dog I pulled back his sheeth (sp) and found 2 puncture wounds- when him and T-bone would play she bit him there- since then if I see them horsing around like that I give them heck... That also happened to a friend of mines with 2 males she couldn't figure out why his penis was bleeding and was all worried so I had a look at his and same thing-just told her not to allow them to play like that-

How did they get on at the vets? :)

I've had a dog with this...he had an enlarged prostate.
