would you believe that in my home town of Spalding Lincs, our water taxi cannot operate as our rivers are too low!  apparently we opened our locks ready for the heavens to open and we didn't get as much as predicted and now the water taxi is out of operation and that in itself brings a few tourists to our market town every week.

Weird isn't it!  Some of the country flooded rest of it dry as anything.  Talk about funny weather.

Oh does anyone know where on the web I can find road/ area closures due to this weather.  Need to go back to Bradford on Sunday and want to find best way to get past Sheffield area :)

I'm really glad to hear that, we are going near Lincoln for a weeks holiday at end of July then on to North yorkshire for a week - hope I don't need wellies! I'm taking my mum and dad to Staffordshire next week - anyone know what the weather is up to there at the moment?

Mind you it can rain all it wants cause tomorrow is my last day at work for 7 weeks yee haa!!! :D :D (no, I'm not going to think about all the stuff I have to prepare for next term  :( )

Nope...not ringing any bells here at all.  All I can see is lashing rain  :(  And the many sirens I can hear around me must mean that we're at risk of flooding....again!!! :(

It's been dry here most of the week with just the odd showers.  Amazing isn't it?  On Saturday I was basking in the sun in Blackpool, Sunday I was basking in the sun in Knockin, Shropshire!!

Anyone remember the thread a few weeks ago when a person asked what they could do on their week's holiday in Scotland if it rained?   Eeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrmmmmmmmmmmm, seems we're the ones having sun up here and it's sodden 'doon South'!
