My daughter-in-law has spent the last few months training for this event http://www.challengerworld.com/et.cfm?eid=1111

Her team came sixth overall and go on to represent the UK in the world event later in this year in Nice. They were third team overall in the mixed teams, first in the pharmaceutical group and first in their in-house group so we are amazingly proud of her :) :)

She has trained  hard for this and really deserved the results they achieved. :) :) :)

Oooh - excellent - well done to your daughter-in-law :) I've seen something similar on Channel 4 early Sunday mornings - looks great fun, although not for me :D :D :D

I'd have enjoyed something like that a couple of years ago...to old or lazy now.

She said the worst thing was having to wear the same clothes for the whole event  Each team has it's own uniform and it has to be worn in all events. It was incredibly muddy and rained a lot so she was drying it out with a hairdryer :D

One of the male members of the team put his in the microwave to dry it and ended up with holes in it  They had to cut the sleeves off his T shirt as it kept unravelling :D :D

She was the captain of her team and organised all the training schedule etc. If you saw her you wouldn't think she would have the energy to do all that physical stuff - is a tiny framed size 8 and knee high to a grasshopper :D

Last year she ran her first marathon and was the third woman past the line but this year decided to do something different :)
