Son does Reading, I did Reading too!
Friend went to Isle of Wight, now of that I was jealous, Rolling Stones. Fratellis, I love them and yes I'm heading for 50!
Karen ;-)

kids? kids? never mind the kids, if I'd managed to get tickets - I'd be there meself - mud and all!!
Had to settle for watching the Monkeys on bbc2 last night instead... cracking!!!
I'm hoping to go to Glastonbury next year. I only live down the road but I've never been before! I'm determined to get there one year :D
I just saw one of my favourite bands play on BBC Three, wish I was there :( Oh well, I saw them at their pre-Glasto warmup gig on Thursday and they played better then anyway :D

We did IoW, way back in 1970 (complete with requisite naked toddler & delish baby - much to their now-disgust :D ) - also did Reading and WOMAD once. No 3 son has done Glastonbury & does Reading & V-fest in Chelmsford.
Think now if I slipped down in the mud, I mighn't get up again :D :D

We did IoW, way back in 1970 My brother was at that one Margot :) My nephew is at Glastonbury this year, no tent just a sleeping bag and a couple of bin bags to put it in :D

Perhaps you were one of the people my father ejected from our front garden in Portsmouth at 6am, who'd slept there when too 'tired and emotional' to make it as far as the railway station! :D :D

We almost did IOW this year - by accident :D Arrived at the hotel to find it was in the middle of the Festival site within about 30m of the stage. Fortunately it was the day after the Festival ended and all that was left was the stage plus all the marquees, portacabins, roadies etc etc etc total chaos, but at least the hotel was quiet :D :D In the circumstances, we had totally forgotten the Festival was on and were lucky that we didn't try getting on to the IOW the day before :) :)

There must have been a IOW Festival around 1967 because I went to a friend's fancy-dress birthday party dressed as a 'Ticket to Ryde' LOL :D :D :D :D

Looking at the state of my jeans when I got home from Blackpool show today you would be forgiven for thinking we had been to Glastonbury:rolleyes:

LOL!!!! Somebody asked me if I'd been to Glastonbury when I got back from Blackpool this afternoon too!!!
