My flat coat had an op about 12wks ago and had all his hair shaved off one of his back legs. (He's doing reasonably well incidentally. :) ). Does anyone know how long it takes the feathering on the back of the leg to grow back? There's no reason why it matters, it just looks a bit funny. :D

It may take several months.

I agree with Brainless, it will take several months.....

Izzy had her op 4 months ago and is a short haired breed, the coat is growing, but it still isn't completely grown back on her leg,
The bald patch that she had on her back from the epidural is at last showing a slight covering of fur :) but that has only come in the last 2 weeks or so, glad to hear your boy is recovering well.

It is one reason that if mine have anything done I insist they either don't shve or shave minimally.  No fun having to take six months out of the showring or having dto accept lower placings than otherwise.

When I had Jozi spayed I made it clear they were not to get so clipper happy that they cut all the fur right up the ribs and side, just the area needed whixh woudln't shwo when she stood up.

I had her scanned when she missed after a mating and they took so much coat off she looked so tucked up, we had a lousy show season last year, but back to what I would expect for ehr at ehr age now.

Only just noticed this, it will take a few months as the others have said.

I hope he is doing well and making a full recovery :)
Maria :)
