My brothers cat has started spraying in his bedroom against his wardrobe any ideas how to stop her she has pooped downstairs as well but that doesn't happen regularly but if someone leaves his room door open she seems to sneak in and pee.  She is a nice cat really just a bit high maintanance any ideas?

Spraying is stress related and usually means the cat is protesting about something. Has anything new happened? Could any clothes in the wardrobe smell of other cats? One trick is to place a bowl of food where the cat sprays as this can help -cats won't spray where they eat. A Feliway plug-in diffuser can also help although I have not tried them myself.

I've tried the Feliway spray as Zelli (My unneutered female BSH) used to pee on furniture etc. when calling and so I sprayed these areas and it seemed to contain her!

Doesn't the smell of citrus put them off? You could try  a few drops of orange or lemon citrus essential oils on a cloth nearby and see if that works

Maybe a Vet check?  We had a young male who developed urinary tract crystals.  It hurt when he peed in his litter box so I guess he figured the box was the thing hurting him and had to keep trying new spots.  The girls can get it too but not as common I think.
