On Thursday my OH had an emergency scan as he has been suffering from severe headaches and a loss of vision for the past few weeks. Friday we were called in to see our GP who told us that the scan showed that his cancer has now spread to a third site and a brain tumour has now been detected. If there is a bed available on Monday he is being admitted to Bart's hospital in London to undergo some palliative radiotherapy.
He has been on a new chemo drugs trial for the past year but, sadly, it has not been able to stop the spread of his cancer. Having fought so hard, and for so long, this has come as a bitter blow to us all and I am finding this really hard to cope with this time around.
We were hoping that he could receive his treatment locally but that wasn't possible so now have a 3 hour journey each way - and I have to drive in central London which I loathe doing anyway

.
Positive healing thoughts are much needed :)
