My brother is on hospital and has been operated on today after he got attacked in town on Friday night.:-(

He has had his jaw shattered in 3 places and has had 5 plates put in his face today and screws as well. He was on the floor in the nightclub while 3 lads kicked him in the head and it really sickens me.:mad:

Sorry rant over, it just makes me feel sick to the bottom of my stomach the way that these lads have acted like animals. Please spare a thought for him today because he is in so much pain.:-(

Oh my goodness - that is awful

I just can't understand why people would want to cause deliberate harm to people in this way.

Wishing him a speedy recovery and that the people responsible for this are apprehended.

Paula, that is sickening.  What gets in to humans to behave like this? :(  I hope his pain is already deminishing and that he is soon on the road to a full recovery.

Oh i am so sorry to hear this, some people don't deserve to walk this earth.  I hope he makes a good recovery and avoids places like this in the future as it seems the animals out there wont..  It is scary to think you can go out and have a good time and this can happen to anyone it just depends on who is out and about on the same night.
They want a good few years in the army some lads.  That will sort out the men from the boys....
Sorry rant over, it worries me this sort of thing, with two sons growing up......

Paula, I feel for your brother.
I have had 6 plates put in my fave with an operation so I know the pain that he is going through:(
I had the operation after 3 years dentistry and that was very hard to deal with, to have it after a beating must be awful.
I lived off mashed food, Cream/strawberrys and sugar, and Runny readfy break fror 6 weeks!!!!! My treat was Cadburys buttons desolving at the side of my mouth!!!!
Hope your briother recovers both pyhysically and  mentally quiclkly :(
Lea :)

OH Paula, I hope he makes a speedy recovery and I hope they catch them.
I breathe a sigh of relief every time I hear my son come in from a night out, what has the world come to.
Thinking about you and your family.

Oh thank you all so much for all your kind thoughts. I just needed to let off steam because I'm having to be the big brave one!!!! My Mum is away in France, she is flying back tomorrow so I have had her on the phone non stop and had to sound all calm to calm her down.

We know the people that did this but my brother at the moment is refusing to press charges. I think he is scared they will come back again if they get into trouble. The thing that I am struggling to deal with is the thought of him laid on a nightclub floor with 3 of them kicking him in the head. How can people behave like this??

Sorry to have to let it all out to you kind lot but I knew you would make me feel better.

That's terrible :(  hope he's getting good pain relief and recovers well.

The vile people that do this rely on their victims being too scared to press charges - that's how they get away with it

Can't blame the victim tho, it's bad enough to have happened once, without thinking it might happen again and possibly worse :(

Surely the police could prosecute using witnesses? (providing they could find some  It does happen tho, my daughter was a witness in a similar case and the offender got a few years prison, she was very scared, but determined to do the right thing)

Was there any CCTV at the club?

Have a word with Victim Support, your local CAB or police will give you their number. They really are good, and will offer support to you as well. They will attand court if you want for support. They are very experienced in these matters, and sometimes its good to talk to someone outside the family and the Police. Even if you don't want to take it to court. Best wishes
