As some may know I took in Marley, a rescue dog from Ireland late last year. He came with the description of being a std poodle/bichon cross and this has always fitted him as that is exactly what he looks like. Anyway recently I started to notice some white fur around.. then some more and now although its not a large amount he is definately losing coat!! As the two breeds he is believed to be a mixture from are both non-moulting, I wonder if he is, in fact, something else, or has another breed in him?? Also, my dog-allergic nephew is very allergic to him (he's fine with my bichons)! He has some pictures in my bucket, does anyone have any ideas on what he may be?? (apart from a pain the butt :D) Not that it matters but just thought it'd be interesting to see what other people thought!

To a non-specialist he looks like a slightly odd poodle. :o I'm still trying to work out the logistics of a bichon x standard poodle! Did one lie down or was the other on stilts? :D

:D :D I know the mind boggles! Although my guess would be mother = std poodle (if she'd been kind enough to lie down :D) but knowing what my boys are like, anythings possible the randy little devils :rolleyes: :D step-ladder? :D

There's been a mix in my breed and the dad was the Spanish and the mother a much smaller breed, so it can be done!  Looks like a Poodle to me and a naughty, cheeky one at that, he looks a lot of fun :d

I may be imagining it but I'm seeing a teeny bit of terrier in him?

A groomer I trained with ages ago once had a litter of mini poodles X standard poodles - the mating happened on the road between shows, in a motorhome - the male hopped up on the sofa to mate the bitch :D
