One of my mum's dogs had two puppies the early hours of yesterday 8 days early.  Unfortunately she killed one but the other one was fine.  Then today when my mum was feeding the boy from her she was sure that she saw movement.  Took her to the vets this evening and we now have 2 more girls after a c-section!!

Someone I know had one of her bitches produce a perfectly healthy pup a day and a half after the rest of the litter.

I think that she may have been able to but we were worried in case of infection with her already having two!!  Especially with her being a small breed too and she's actually at the lower end of the breed standard so we didn't want to take any risks.

Don't know yet!  I will go after my breakfast and relieve mum so that she can go shopping etc. and get out if she wants.  I've offered to do tonights round but she doesn't want me to because I'm going to a gamefair in the morning!!

Pups are doing well, so keep everything crossed as it's early days yet!!

They are doing wonderfully and sooooo greedy and happy even though they are not with their mother full time.  She's still allowing us to feed them on her and she's cleaning them well, so still got everything crossed.

Brilliant! :)

Ahh thanks Golmali.  Aren't pups just amazing?  For little things that are just 2 ozs in weight it is amazing how responsive to everything they are.  When we put our hands in the cage the smallest boy comes crawling up and lays his head in our palm and then the two girls follow!

Aw bless! Sounds absolutely wonderful! About same size as newborn kittens!

The smallest surviving kittens I've had have been 2 oz. Prefer them bigger but have several adults here that were as small, in fact one was just 1 ½ and he's a nice big lad now. :)

Ahh bless, they do look weird though like little baby mice!!  The first born is really quite small compaired to the two girls but he's a strong little devil.  Just got back from my mums and took my turn in feeding them, they are soooo cute :d
