hi my bitch had her pups today 1 she mnaged by herself the others by c section ,the 1 she had by herself if trying hard to suck but the milks not through .have asked vet about it and he said because she had a jab to get labour started there's nothing i can do but hand feed pups till milk comes is there anything you guys can think to do ,i have put bruce the 1st born on a differant teat to feed so that he can get some milk to come but it's not really working

My girls milk came in 24 hours after her section, I just hand fed for the first day to keep them happy.

Can't offer any suggestions, but hope all goes well for you and the babes.  Hopefully her milk will come through pretty soon.

Are you sure that she hasn't got any?  Not being funny but some of my bitches I am unable to get milk from them but the pups have always been happy so must be able to.  I'd just keep your pups with her as much as possible and if they seem happy more than likely she has got it.

just a quick update had a hard night trying to get pups fed but all went well as her milk has statred to come through so i have happy pups now
