Well the time has come that we have decided to let Sam go with dignity. He has become very unsettled and distant. He used to be by my side or on my lap all the time, now he just can't get comfortable. He looks so lost and miserable. He is not eating very much and has lost weight, he looks so skinny. The vet reckons his muscle is wasting away. He really does not look like a healhy staffie anymore.

Even the vet agrees that the time has come to let him go. We are spending a nice weekend with him and he is booked in on Tuesday for the injection. I know how hard I am going to find this I am already tearful thinking about it, but Breeze will also feel the pain as all she has know since she was 12 weeks old is Sam being around.

I know this is the right decision, but its is so hard. We did try medication for a while but in the end, his body is giving up. At least Sam has his best friend Barnie up there.

Enjoy your weeked with him. Spoil him rotten and stay strong.

I'm so sorry. It's a tough decision to make isn't it. My heart goes out to you and Sam. He won't know and he'll no longer be uncomfortable so take some solace in that. You're doing the loving thing.
