is it true that by feeding a dog raw eggs that it gives them more muscle??
i got told this by a man walking his staffy when i was walking bailey and he said he feeds his dog raw eggs everyday thats why he is so big
now i was thinking surely this is bad for the dogs health.. what do you think

Eggs are simply a source of protein. There's no magic properties that enables more muscle to be built with eggs than any other protein source.

Yep they are a fairly concentrated form of protein fat and minerals., so very good additon to the diet in modertion shell and all.

The protein in eggs is near as perfect as protein can get. Raw eggs are great for dogs coats, they put a brilliant shine on due to the biotin eggs contain.I dont think they would build muscle though??
A raw egg daily is a great addition to a dogs diet, definitely not bad for their health :)

All I could really find when I googled was pages about bodybuilders

Like
this and
this :D Seems that there may be something special about eggs in particular and muscle growth, but combined with exercise

Raw eggs are a useful part of a dog'sdaily diet. They are the food source that everything else is measured against. Muscle is built by protein, maturity and conditioning. It is probable that his dog would look the same if on a plain commercial diet.

my lot get a raw egg every day -shell and all - they just love them and I can vouch for the fact that they make the coats lovely and shiny
