Topic Dog Boards / Showing / Online Entry Fees

Hi,

Does anyone have info as to whether there is a premium for online entry for HP and Fosse after the postal closing date? A friend was talking about using this facility yesterday, and I usually avoid it because I have a feeling the fee is higher - but can't find the info on the sites. Am I making it up?

Thanks,

M.

Its an online extra charge of £1 that is for as many dogs as you enter not per dog.

I wonder why it is dearer as it is making it easier for the catalogue printers as you are completing their database for them.  It is why I rarely enter on line, blame my Scots grandfather.

A quid to save the price of a stamp, a trip to the Post Office to get the proof of posting signed and ... most importantly :D ... to save having to fill in entry forms with tiny boxes when you have lots of dog which are either imports with long names or signed by said imports - worth it every time!! :D :D

Not to me, especially when as you say the work of transcribing the details is already doen fopr the printers, why the premium?  I always post second class so lot less than £1

Thanks Carolyn - not enough to worry about if you had a need for a late one then.

There was some mention of the entry fee being slightly higher
when you enter right at the last minute but I can't remember
which it was attributed to...
I'm sure it was in one of the dog papers....
This is in addition to the normal £1-1.50 charge for the on line entry charge.

Not come across this - have always just paid the £1 admin fee - I am always right to the wire too :)

That was just one show that was higher for -I think it was Birmingham. I've entered others after the closing date for postal entries (recently) and it's just been the normal £1 charge.

The only greedy sods who have over charged was Birmingham , the put the entry price up £2 PER DOG. all the others it is the exact same as the postage.   Between 50p-£1 for the overall fee which is nothing if you save  a stamp, envelope and the fuel to the post office AND I guess the enviroment :-D

Plus also the knowledge that your entry is accepted there and then....
So no getting lost or delayed in the post.

Thanks all, it's obviously just the Birmingham bit I'm remembering then.

Definitely worth the money to me!
