Two breeders who's lines and previous puppies I've been looking very longingly at for months and months have got litters.

And I want one!

One whole year to wait. :(

Why do you have to wait a year Fluff76 ?

Yes, why do you have to wait?

My husband has (finally) fully agreed to having a second dog but it's conditional - a) He's keen to go back to Thailand and despite me wanting to go to America, I agreed we'd go to Thailand in return for puppy #2 (which to be honest is no great sacrifice - Thailands wonderful) b)In total, we'll be going on 4 holidays of varying length over the next 9-10 months, and I'd rather not go away anywhere longer than a few days for the 1st year of getting a puppy and finally c) we're trying to get the Kitchen/dining and living rooms redecorated, and since we've  been in the house 18 and only got the bedroom done, we need to get this in plave so we can direct all attention on the puppy..

It's purely a logistcal and compromise based decision, but my heart deparately wants a big teddy bear companion for Roxy.

putting me devil's horns on
b) that's what family is for. Or the breeder might take your new boy in while you're away. (and Roxy)
c) well that's just lots of new experiences for the pup. :-D I stood behind the back hoe digging up my front garden when Caoimhe was 8 weeks old. She got to see heavy equipment, hear lots of noises and meet workmen in funny clothes.

Sometimes it is simpler and better just to wait :D :D :D

Fluff I think that's very responsible and highly controled of you! :d  Best all round to keep hubby on side.  Your puppy will be worth the wait!

First of all I am mega jealous you are going back to Thailand, I loved the place

Secondly I am mega jealous you are getting a second goldie, I would love another one to be my friend and Kez's play mate but OH won't allow it for various reasons  Which in hind sight are the sensible reasons !

But most of all I think you are being sensible with the amount of things you have going on, a pup from the same lines as Kez came up last year which I could have taken on but we had just started a extention on the house and I knew in my hearts of hearts I could not devote the time and attention to it

12 months is really not that long and I am sure with all your holidays you have planned and the work on the house it will just fly by and the new teddy bear will be with you soon enough

PS Roxy is so cute...... My Kez would just love her !

Well lets hope the breeders breed again in a years time!  Yoo got to keep OH on your side for this pup.

I know it must be hard for you but Thailands lovely.  I hope to go back again sometime, I just have no-time to do so :(

It could always be worse.  You could be facing a 2 year wait for a pup....like I am!!

Or a "till you finish unni, get a job, move out and buy your own house" like I've got till I gte to own a toller!
