Need a bit of advice on web site content and how to make sure that the content on a site should be shown stating that the content is seen as not being the responsible for the content etc if detailing advice etc ?

Anybody out there got any experience on this that you could give to me please :) I would go to a Solicitor but that costs and this is for a non profit making site that current is just starting and so no money in the bank :)

If it is a case we will have to go down that route then we will have to but thought I would try here first ;)

thanks

I know solicitors can sometimes give a free 1/2 hour consultation session for advice.  Or your local CAB might be able to give the appropriate wording.

Are you wanting something along the lines of "................. please note that we are not medical professionals.  Any information given on our site is just our own personal views and experiences only.  You should seek proper medical advice from a qualified medical doctor or other official support groups and we cannot endorse the information given or be held responsible etc etc............"

Maybe a search for other similar sites might throw some wording that you could incorporate (bearing in mind the recent thread on copyright etc LOL) :)

>The information on this site is not intended to diagnose disease, nor to provide medical advice but is solely to inform those concerned with xxxxxxxxx(whatever the site gives adviceetc on) . The information contained herein, therefore should be used in co-operation with a medical or health professional

You could try this

Thats it MM! :D :D - thats what I was trying to say in a very roundabout way i think?  LOL   :D  I tried looking at other sites but I only found something similar to do with mortgages!!!!    I know that after a cosmetic makeover show etc there is a voice over that disclaims them from everything and to seek proper medical advice but when you want to find the info, you cant!!!!! LOL
