I went to Wembley last Saturday for the FA Trophy Cup Final and we won :D :D :D  We were 2-0 down at half time but I knew our team were the come-back kids and they pulled it off with 3 goals during the second half.  Great fun - for us :P  What's more is that our goals were down our end.

Great day out but make sure you take refreshments with you because the food and drink in there are very expensive.  I think someone said £4.50 for a hotdog.  As for the stadium, where my son was standing the roof was leaking and at the other end so much rain was pouring through people had to be moved   How much did the stadium cost?

We had arranged to meet a friend after the game.  Meeting place was the new Bobby Moore statue.  Unfortunately, it felt like 50,000 other people had the same idea :D

We had a great time and I am sure you will too whatever the result.  Up the blues or is it the reds? :D

It won't be half as good as in the Millennium Stadium Cardiff :-(

Cheryl, my parents and brother (plus other family members) went too, must have been sitting same area as you because they had the goals their end too!

I however chose not to go as I hate football!  Insted I stayed at home and groomed dogs! :D :D :D Much more fun!!!!

The FA only release a limited number of seats to the clubs and they are sold in blocks.  The clubs didn't have any choice where the blocks were so all those who bought tickets via their clubs would sit together which is good because it heightens the fun seeing people around you that you recognise from the shops, the club, etc.  The way they sell the tickets explains why there were empty blocks, these were not offered to the clubs and neither could have been on general sale because we know all the lower tiered seats offered to the clubs and general public were soldout. Your family might also have noticed that the middle tier was completely empty too, this is because these are for the FA only, whatever that means, probably corporate seats.

53,000+ for little townie clubs wasn't a bad attendance was it?  Our town must have been like a ghost town - good day to go shopping :D

Have to agree with you Daisy!  Definitely rugby!  Have to say that considering I played rugby for 8.5 years!!

Well, I have to say I do prefer rugby players to footie players...........well if I was a player I would choose rugby.
But I do enjoy watching a good game of football. I am in the Chelsea block so will be cheering for them, though I am neutral really. As tend to follow Blackburn Rovers.( it's the Rovers bit I expect).
Tickets were £95 each, so are prime location, should be a grand occasion with my secret pleasure lying with a military band.
Just cant wait..........I am being a really bad mother though as will be leaving daughter on what is potentially a huge day for her..she gets 11+ results and has to rely on big brothers for support.(20 and 24).
Karen :-)

Hope you have a good time  An experience at least :)

Don't feel guilty about leaving the offspring in a critical stage in their lives  :) The daughter will get over it and you can spoil her if you want afterwards ;)

You all can keep the ruggers - beach volleyball for me thanks! :-D Of course my interest is due solely down to having been a player myself.
