Hi. My girl stopped feeding her pups about two weeks ago. Her one side that she always lay on is still quite heavy with milk. If she goes to see the pups they still try to feed off her but as soon as the teeth are felt she leaves them again. My question is, will the milk dry up naturally or should I seek assistance from my vet? She has been a fantastic mother and just want to do my best for her.

If she is not in any discomfort or showing signs of Mastitis then nature as with us will take it's course, and she will dry up.

Lactation in any species is based on supply and demand, stop the demand and the supply diminishes quite quickly.
