does any one know if the title "junior champion" is recognised by our KC  for a foreign dog, and if so, what class it has to go in? (ie can it go below open or does it have to go into open?

they don't recognise Junior champions.  The reason I know is that a Friend and I both have issues over the Kennel Club refusing to acknowledge the hunting titles,w hich are usually shown as Nor J champion.  One KC bod said oh but we don't recognise junior champions.

In the past with imports and dogs used abroad the pedigrees included both the show ans hunting titles, but it seems these have now been purged.

When challenged it seems there are no rules that say they do not recognise the Hunting titles just that it is their policy not to.

Interestingly this friend has now moved to Sweden, and she is wondering what will happen when she gets her pups export pedigree where the Norwegian and Swedish hunting champion titles are missing.  don't think the Swedish Kennel Club will be amused.

It wouldn't be such an issue if it wasn't for the fact that you can't have a show champion in the Scandinavian countries in our reed unless you have working qualifications, so ignore actual hunting titles and only show the poor relation the show title is an insult.  the hunting titles can't be won unless the dog is graded as Excellent at shows anyway.
