Bit of a stupid question so sorry but i'm needing to change my car in order to fit a ridgeback into it!  I like the Rav4's but I'm being thick and can't work out what the vehicle tax will be and whether it is more for a Rav4 Diesel or Rav4 Petrol - or doesn't it make any difference?  Anyone know?! 

Can't really help you with specifics but just know there can be a huge difference in amounts paid. My daughter just taxed an 03 diesel renault clio 1.5 and her tax for the year is £35 due to it's low emissions.  :)

It is all down to the fuel emissions.  Look on their website and look at the specific data for each of the vehicles. That will give you the emissions and then you can work it out from that.

Yikes, it looks like both the petrol and diesel Rav4s are going to be in the £205 band. Check the emissions here and then the prices here :)

I was miffed when my dads c max 2 litre diesel cost less than my 1.2 lt corsa!  Nearly sent me into early labour ..... but I'm still waiting :rolleyes:
