Did anyone watch return to the tribe last night on channel 5 - wow it was funny, firstly it made me realise I take alot for granted but the part which had me in stitches was when Chief wanted to meet the queen and couldn't understand why our Chief (the queen) would not meet him and for that reason the queen was showing him dis repect BLESS

:D Cant wait to see next weeks.... Just wonderful!!
The best programme Ive seen on TV in a long while without a doubt.
These strapping great crocodile hunters who were, quivering terrified to go on the London eye!... but isnt their Chief a wonderful man! never missed a beat to lead by example, first to Ice skate, first on the eye, and fair in his judgements (allowing the women into the 'spirit house' of St.Pauls :) )
Just fabulous to see our world through the eyes we have lost ;)

If anyone didnt see it..watch it next week, it will restore your faith in human 'nature' and 'society' :)

Its funny isnt it - my family and I watched the last two series of the tribe and were fascinated by the englishman going to live with these tribes.  Last night my husband and daughter watched the return of the tribe and were both upset and disgusted by it - they felt it was trying to enforce our beliefs and ways on them as going back in time the white man has done over and over again. And they saw the visit to St Pauls as destroying the beliefs their society was built on .......  they did keep watching though...

I shall watch next week

I agree, it was a fantastic programme, getting a fresh new perspective on what's so familiar to us. I thought the observation that in their culture the 'spirit houses' (churches to us) are taller than the 'money houses' (commercial buildings) because the spirits are more important to them, whereas we seem to have it the other way around, was spot on.

I thought it was very refreshing to hear their views on our lives.
Saw snippets about next weeks episode - like they were really upset
and thought the children of the elderly couple should be looking after their parents.

It was so funny to watch ref the squirrel..

I'll definately be watching next week.

I think I might be crying at next weeks - that clip of him sayin about the children looking after thier parents was very touching.

I agree. He simply couldn't comprehend that people might not care for their elderly parents. And although it's a very unpopular view on here, I agree with him.
