My baby boy has just cut his first tooth at seven months but poor little man is full of cold and has an ear infection too.
Been to doctors this morning and given him antibiotics and calpol which he has to take after meals.
Gave him lunch followed by medicine follwed by projectile vomiting
This happened last time he was on antibiotics, doctor knew this and gave him different type in case it was reaction but think he must just hate medicine!
At moment im mixing antibiotic with his calpol to help take away bitter taste but im having to give it straight before meal instead of after, do you think this will do any harm, worried about ulcers etc but only way i can get him to take medicine and keep food down.
He has been such an easy, well behaved baby, all this grumpiness is a bit of a shock but i suppose hes allowed to be a monster at some point :)

As long as the medicine is able to mix with food in the stomach it won't really make much difference if it's immediately before, during or immediately after a feed. What's bad is when it's in an empty stomach

Poor little scrap must be feeling pretty rotten. :( I do hope he feels better soon.

Oh bless his little cotton socks :)

Try mixing the Calpol with Nurofen :) They can be given together :)

Thank you, just wanted peace of mind, im sure he will love his new teeth once he can have some proper food and get stuck in :)
Ive got some Nurofen so ill give it a go if needed, just hope he keeps managing to keep medicine down.
Never realised until just what i put my mum and dad through, makes me appreciate the bond a million times more now i have my own little one.

Well we got up this morning after a bad night managed to give him medicine which he actually took quite well followed by bottle.
He did a little cough and it all came back up, just made him some more milk and put antibiotic in it which he took so hopefully it will stay put.

I am well and truly frazzled :) hubby is working away at moment so off to mums later to try and sneek a nap in whilst she looks after William.

The joys of parenthood :)

We've got 2 under 2 - one has a nasty cough and one is teething.

No sleep at all - we're knackered! :D
