At both champ and open shows and if you have your dog entered in 2 classes. Can you withdraw dog from the second class to remain unbeaten if you win the first class???

You can withdraw from variety classes but not from breed classes.

Well, you CAN, but if you won your first breed class and then withdrew from your second breed class you'd be classed as a beaten dog and therefore ineligable for BOB.

Well guess I was advised incorrectly - or is it just a terminonology thing - I was always told that you couldn't withdrawal to remain unbeaten - although I guess what you are saying is that you could withdrawal but you wouldn't be classed as unbeaten??  Its all a bit confusing really isn't it!

If you withdraw then yes you are technically beaten and so not eligable for BOB.  What I was saying is that if you're not bothered about going in for BOB then you can withdraw.  E.G. if your dog went lame after the first class or if it'd had enough or was stressed out about something then you can withdraw.  No-one will force you to go into the next class basically.

 I thinK Rach was right. The question was " to remain unbeaten".

I didn't even respond as the first reply answered the question :-D

I think we are trying to say that if you are in 2 breed classes, say Junior and Graduate, and you win Junior, you cannot withdraw from Graduate if you still want to compete for BOB. But if you win BOB and you are entered in something like AV Toy, you can withdraw from that to remain unbeaten to compete in the Group or BIS. :-)
