Can someone please help.
Now I am in no way an expert and this breeder sounds like a good breeder but.......
A mate got nearly 8 week old cocker yesterday, and she isnt keen on what she has been told to feed.
Morning, - scrambled egg and pasturised milk.
Lunch, Beta Puppy (Please noone moan about that, it might not suit some but this isnt the ussue here)
Next meal, Clooked chicken.
Last meal - scrambled egg!!!!!

Please dont inundate me, but can someone give me a feeding sheet for Beta Puppy that I can give to them.
I have advised them to cut out the milk, he isnt that interested in it, And they are really not happy about feeding so much egg.
Cooked chicken they are happy with.
HELP :)

They can cut out everything but the Beta if they wish.  I would just feed as much as the puppy wants 4 times a day, I can't really name amounts or weights because I just don't do it like that :) but the puppy will loose interest after about 10 mins generally and that is roughly the quantity they should be giving.  Of course if puppy starts to get a little rotund they will know they have a greedy puppy and to draw back a bit otherwise the quantity is increased slightly at regular intervals as he grows it is a simple as that.   I do not moisten the food at this age but makes sure water is available 24 hours a day.
I would not feed a meal of entirely chicken, assuming you mean chicken meat, as this will unbalance the diet and make it top heavy on the protein.  They could serve it with a mixer but personally I don't see the point.

As Isabel says, all four meals could be Beta, for as long as it suits him. For quantities, the amount given on the packet will probably be on the higher side of adequate ;) but a slightly roly poly pup at this age isn't necessarily a bad thing. A day or two's digestive upset for whatever reason (stress, change of water, minor bug) and the weight will fall off so they actually need a bit of a safety net.

Another possible regime is:
Breakfast: Protein (chicken, fish, beef) and wholemeal mixer
Lunch: Beta puppy
Tea: as breakfast
Supper: As lunch

The Beta can be soaked to make sure the pup has plenty of liquid.

When feeding a 'meat-and-mixer' diet a pup requires three-quarters of an ounce of food for every pound of bodyweight per day, whereas an adult requires only half an ounce per pound.

Hope this helps. :)

Thankyou both :)
She has now cut out the egg and milk and is on 4 meals of Beta and cooked chicken or tuna. And she feels happier :D
Knew you lot would come to me aid :D
BTW he is lovely :D But remember why I will not have a puppy LOL
