Hi Thanks for your messages and good wishes. He did it! I'm not too sure of the time exactly either 4.24 or 4.34 I'll let you know later. My husband says he's very tired and very burnt. He's my hero I should have him on tape as I taped the finish line on interactive but I missed him.

We watched the BBC2 show tonight and both me and OH said I can't imagine the determination these guys have - all seemed to say their legs were gone at 16miles - how on earth do you keep going after that!!!

Great admiration for all who take part!

And well done TOM - great time!!! :)  and everyone else who took part!

You keep going because you have spent months training!!!!!
I have not done a marathon yet but with any race, you are exhausted but you have put so much training in.
Its the Adrenalin that keeps you going!!!!! You dont realise how much pain you are in until you cross the finish line!!!!
I have crossed the finish line and collapsed in a heap 2 meters through the end!!!!!  And know alot of people that throw up at the end as they have put everything they have got into it, and have nothing left to give as they pass the finish line!!!!
Does that make more sense as to why us wierd runners keep going through the pain?????
Lea :D
