I think I went grey in a matter of minutes last night!! After my daughters surprise party last weekend we still have the gazebo up in the garden. Dusty and Star were outside, sniffing around, having a wee etc. I just happened to be looking out of the window when it happened. Dusty decided to have a funny five minutes and started belting round the garden. As she ran past the gazebo, she misjudged it, and her back leg hit one of the guy ropes. This somersaulted her in the air, and somehow the guy rope tangled round her leg, but remained pegged into the ground. One very frightened pup then began to struglle and pulled it tighter and tighter. I ran out, yelling for Steve(thank god he was home). Try as I might, I couldnt undo the tangled rope from her leg. She was thrashing around, yelling her head off, and I really thought her leg was broken from the noise she was making.
Steve arrived momentas later, and pulled the peg out of the ground, and managed to force her down on the ground so I could untangle the rope. She was a very lucky pup, all that she had was a red mark, and a small piece of fur missing. Pups, who would have em,eh??

What a relief - you must have been terrified for her. Holly got locked in the wendy house last night and she made so much noise we thought she'd hurt herself - she really glared at Chris when he let her out!

Sis, this afternoon I noticed a huge swelling has come up on Dustys bum. Think it must be where she somersaulted and hit the concrete last night. Dosnt hurt her at all, but we are off to the vets in the morning :(

glad it was a happy ending String :D
my biggest problem with Phoe is when she doesn't realise she has got taller and can't fit under things any more and runs towards them full pelt (like my car parked up) - realises at the last minute she won't fit so broadsides and slams into them

Beany, my Lurcher pup does exactly the same thing. She used to be able to run under the garden bench, but recently we have had a couple of collisions. You would have thought having BC in her, she would have twigged what was happening by now, but she hasnt, so it must be the hound coming out in her lol
