One of my girls is having very watery green and red poos, I've booked her into the vets for this morning first thing.  We're beside ourselves here as last year I lost one to Auto immune and her symptoms at the beginning were similar, is this going to happen to us again? Please help me.

I'm so sorry about loss of your dog.  Auto-immune is just horrible.  I'm afraid only your vets and time will answer your questions.  Let's keep our fingers crossed that she's just picked up a bug or eaten something disgusting while on her walks (mine are past masters at doing that  ).  Hopefully your vet will be able to put your mind at rest.

i just keep thinking of anything different we might have done over the past couple of weeks.  We went to a game fair over easter weekend and I'm just hoping she's picked a bug up as they all spent all day snuffling on the ground, but it is only her that is poorly, although she's not poorly in herself if you know what I mean.  Also I had been giving her SA37 for her coat condition but she'd been taking that for a while.

I hope its not auto immune as I lost my last two dogs to that and there was a slight worry one of mine I have now may have it but its looking hopefully unlikely now.
Hopefully its just a bug  but I know its easy to overly worry when you have been there before and it was something more serious.  (((hugs)))

Back from the vets now - We had a different one this morning, it seems our vet has now left so we had a locum (again!)  Anyway, he seems to think that at the moment there is nothing to worry about.  He thinks that she has gastro-enteritis or colitis, so had suggested starving her for 24 hours and giving her 10mls of starch water 5 times today.  He's given her 3 jabs for her tummy ache etc and some antibiotics to start tomorrow provided she is showing some improvement (if not, its back to the vets) and to put her on chicken and rice.  I think he thought I was being neurotic but I've become one of those people who inspects poo on a daily basis now just in case there's anything odd looking.  Its silly, but I panic more about my dogs than I do my kids.  We'll see how she goes through the rest of today and tonight.  Thank you for your hugs, much appreciated - I really am a silly old Hector.

She's feeling a bit more spritely now, and her poo is no longer yacky green and red, it's now resembling a korma sauce (bright yellow) still runny.  She has been eating rice and chicken complan.  I'm going to give it the weekend and then pop her back to the vets on Monday (give her pills a bit of time to get going).  I'll let you know.
