Well done - my Mia got hers on Thursday and my daughters puppy Jaffa got his too!  Are you now going for Silver?

Thank you everybody.

Well done Mia and Jaffa :)

Yes we are going to do the silver award but in the Autumn because we are going to start tracking classes - ground and air tracking  - in a few weeks time. Really looking forward to it and, hopefully, it will be fun. :)

Well done Harley, I bet you are really looking forward to tracking classes.....how exciting. I wish we had clubs like that locally.....it sounds great....

It is a club I hadn't heard of before - checked out their website and spoke to the trainer and decided to give it a go. Start in about 5 weeks time so will let you know how we get on. :)

Oh great - Harley is a Golden Retriever too :)

I was really pleased with him as he is very wary of another dog in the class who once growled at him. If the other dog moves in the stay then Harley would just get up and move to the other end of the hall and then lie down again  If the other dog isn't there then he does the stay brilliantly ( and can now do a 5 minute stay at home and out and about on walks) but just isn't confident around this dog.

When we are waiting in the other hall before our class Harley will make sure he is always pointing in the opposite direction to the other dog. It is just that one dog whom he is wary of - it is also very vocal :)

I was so proud of him that night - he had one eye on that dog and the other on me but luckily the other dog stayed put and so did Harley :)

You will feel wonderful when you have completed the test and see Pass written beside each element  :) :)

OH yes well done.  One of the girls at agility said she had to swat up for her bronze award the next night so I was curious to see what would have to be achieved.  It is very demanding.  Meg would fall down on having to wear a decent collar and tag.  She hates tags - will not tolerate anything dangling and rattling ( have my mobile no. embroidered on her collar - not sure if that counts)  She would fail on the handling also.  It was quite eye-opening - I have much to achieve with my dog.  So I can certainly look up to folks who have achieved bronze.

CeeJay, To be honest I thought I had a well trained dog as he has attended two classes a week since 13 weeks old but reading the test information it is tough, think Kez might scrape through his Bronze but still have a long way to go before I even think about silver and gold. His excitement for life with let him down LOL
