A while ago when I was at my dogs agility class I realised (just as it was too late) that he had begun to wee up my leg! I told him 'no' and pulled him away...and apart from occasionally trying to 'water' the equipment he never did it again. I recently took him to watch an agility and flyball competition and he did it twice again, he wee'd RIGHT up my leg as I was busy chatting to someone...didn't realise until it felt suddenly warm down there and he had just about finished...(I was wearing bootcut jeans so didnt even feel it until it started to soak through the material!) He has never done it unless in these very 'doggy' situations, day to day Im sure he would never dream of watering me in this way! Im not sure how to stop this...do you think he is just reacting to being in such a hyped up situation? He is generally very happy around other dogs and is excited to meet anyone and everyone...any ideas how I can stop this new delightful habit? He is a year old.

We had a jack russell many years ago and if you stayed still to long he would widdle up you and if we left our shoes outside he would widdle in them. We could never stop it (think he must have been used to doing it as we didn't get him until he was 4)
oh...what lovely creatures dogs can be! Alfie has never done it in any other situation other than when there are loads of other dogs around, I know he gets excited by it all so maybe he just loses control? He does mark CONSTANTLY when we are in that type of situation, we were walking round the farmers market (that was near the agility and flyball area) and I had to constantly pull him away from stalls and signs that he would constantly try to widdle up...I guess I can only watch him like a hawk when we are in that type of situation and try and catch the bugger before he does it!

My Cavalier did that as a youngster up a steward's leg once at a show and I didn't realise until it was too late! A couple of shows later he tried to do it to me and got the scruff of the neck growling furiously in his face treatment from me - he's never done it again to anyone! :-D

I would worry if my dog only looked upon me in the same way as a tree....................
ps scruffing and growling in the face of a CKCS may not have any serious consequences, I don't subscribe to this "method" certainly not with a breed that might actually take your face off..............

My friends patterdale terrier does this to him whenever we stop for a chat

Nobody else, just him. He is a very bosy little dog though and is definitely one of the top dogs round our local fields! My Dobe is terrified of him - jumps 10 foot in the air if he so much as glances at him

Merlin does it to others, especially if they are wearing wellies.
Yep, one of my lad's is guilty of this but only ever when we are at shows and usually just comp shows. He seems to know the difference from the more fun shows and the serious ones lol.

This obviously happens when you are standing around and not moving.....I would suggest that you get in the habit of insisting that your dog remain in a "down" or "sit" when you are not moving around. No dog can pee in the "down" position

Not an option in the show ring! ;) :D

It's a sign of affection you know :d :d That's what I've always said anyway!
