Hi :)
If you can find a good supplier, you can feed raw pretty cheaply. I am the first to admit that I tend to spoil my dogs (I bought them a whole salmon yesterday ) and I could probably feed more cheaply than I do if I cut out the real luxury items.
I buy the basics from a good farm butcher that my family have been buying meat from for 30+ years. They rear their own livestock and the abbatoir is 4 miles away so I know how and where the animals have lived and been treated ;) I can buy beef and stewing lamb (inc. lamb ribs/lamb neck) at 50p per lb, ox kidney and liver at 80p/lb and ox hearts at £2 each. I buy fish from the local market (usually whole mackeral), and chicken wings from Tesco or Asda (try as I might, I can't find them cheaper anywhere else). Recreational bones are plentiful and free

I also throw in slightly more expensive extras like pork ribs (99p/lb) and ox tail (a whopping £1.80/lb so they only get it when I'm feeling flush :p). The 'reduced to clear' section of supermarkets can be treasure troves for the raw feeder ;) Tripe comes fozen from PAH.
If you are in www.landywoods.co.uk delivery area, they seem to be very competitive price-wise. I am not in their area, unfortunately.
I guess I probably spend about £50 a month on food for the dogs. I have a large crossbreed and a giant breed so I suppose that's pretty comparable with feeding a premium complete.
If you are seriously considering raw as an option, I would recommend you read 'Natural Nutrition for Cats & Dogs' by Kymythy Schultz and/or 'Give Your Dog a Bone' by Ian Billinghurst (both available from Amazon). The first is a good straightforward read. The latter, IMO, is a little more diffiult to read but all the information is there :)
