Booked Lace in for her second vaccination,after her scan confirmed she was in whelp,due to be done on the 11th April.Tapestry came in season yesterday so booked her in on the 11th for her 1st vaccine, then my vets ring me back saying there is a manufactoring problem with the vaccine and there is none available for Tapestry even though the company will supply Laces 2nd vaccine from their limited supply!!Has anyone esle had this problem?I am now trying to trace some as my vets will administer it if I can find some!Any ideas?Gail :) :) :)

When I collected my last vaccine I was warned that they were in short supply No idea how long this will be for.  Vets don't normally hold it in stock so comes direct from manufacturer - perhaps you could contact them - Eurican I think one brand is.  Luckily I shan't need it again until the end of the year - hopefully situation will be resolved by then.

Must admit I`m quite concerned as Tapestry is Laces daughter and I am sure that pregnancy survived due to Lace having the herpes vaccine.Tapestry is a maiden bitch but due to the problems we had getting her into the world including the 3 pups born only weighing 5 and 6 oz I really am not happy at the situation but what can I do?My vets are continuing to try and locate some for me but if theres none available!!!!!!Do you think if I contacted the company direct, it might help?Gail :) :) :)

Just been on the phone to the company that supplies the vaccine and they have informed me that there will be no vaccines available until the 4th quarter of this year.:( :( :( Gail not so :) :) :)

my vet has told me that there will be no more vaccine as there is not alot of call for it so they are not going to make anymore,but i could get the second one done ,as the first was done .
i through there was a lot of breeders that use this but my vets said where i am no one else use it.we are in west sussex.

I'm in the West Country and my vet gets it in(usually) when I need it.The company that distributes it just said there was a problem so after quality control it would be available in the 4th quarter, not that it was being discontinued.Gail :) :) :)

Quick up-date, Lace had her vaccination and Claire (my other vet in the same practice) is looking into homeopathic herpes nodules so we will see what happens next!!Gail :) :) :)
